The Mississippi River is about to become a whole lot healthier thanks to a $16 million federal grant awarded to restore wetlands at Ducks Unlimited Park at Big River Crossing.⁠

This project will create a destination park with a purpose, improving flood protection, and wildlife habitat, and offering even more opportunities for outdoor recreation. Big win for Memphis & West Memphis! ⁠

New Mayor Paul Young has done just that, creating the new Black Mayors’ Coalition. Working together with 21 mayors from 11 different states to discuss challenges, opportunities, and tactics, the coalition is focused on solutions that both reduce crime and engage with the community in meaningful ways.
