“We all have experienced times when we may feel depressed about things or certain issues,” she said. “I, like, most have felt so overwhelmed at times with challenges of school, my career, and social circle. This year has taught me to find my voice in recognizing the great gifts in me and in others I’m connected to and hopefully transferring these positive vibes to create a safer and more wholesome atmosphere where my friends and family can feel at ease talking about their issues. And, I know the importance of seeking help when the mental health issues demand outside resources. We all need great support systems and I know the value in having a safe zone which is non-judgmental and supportive.”
