Memphis club owner, entertainment impresario and party host Curtis Givens has confirmed initial plans for his annual Can I Live celebration, which will take place July 15-17.

The festivities will be centered on the 21st edition of Givens’ All White Affair party. The All White Affair will take place July 16 at Mud Island River Park. Additional Can I Live events are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

As the founder of CGI Entertainment, Givens has produced a variety events including the University of Memphis basketball’s Memphis Madness and created perennial multi-faceted festivities including the Can I Live Weekend and the annual post-Thanksgiving All Black Affair. Givens has also thrown lavish parties celebrating his own birthday each February.

Givens’ inaugural All White Affair in 2002, held at the old River Terrace Yacht Club, drew fewer than 200 people. By 2009 the event had moved to The Peabody and was attended by more than 2,000. The All White Affair now serves as the centerpiece of the annual multi-day, multi-event Can I Live weekend. Last year’s celebration also included the inaugural Power 30 Reception and a special weekend-capping brunch at the Dixon Gallery & Gardens.
