Memphis small business owners got hands-on help this week. DoorDash and the Greater Memphis Chamber of Commerce hosted a workshop on Wednesday, Oct. 7, offering training and resources designed to help local entrepreneurs grow and hire right here at home.

Participants learned how to use DoorDash tools, advertising, and AI-powered business solutions, and DoorDash provided $1,000 in credits so owners could put what they learned into practice right away.

Timara Barton, owner of MARAS Salon, said the session introduced her to resources she had not found before and left her with clear ideas she can use right away. The workshop builds on DoorDash’s Accelerator for Local Businesses, which has supported more than 400 small businesses nationwide since 2021.

For a lot of owners, the hardest part is finding the time and the know-how to reach more customers online, and Wednesday’s session put practical, ready-to-use help right in front of them.
