Some musicians chase a scene. Keer is helping build one. The local indie rock artist has spent the last two years turning a background vocalist spot into a full career, and this summer that career hits the road.
Keer is part of Music Export Memphis‘s 2026 Ambassador Access cohort, joining fellow Memphis artists on a regional tour. The path there started small.
Deep down I always knew I wanted to be a musician. My favorite toy when I was a baby was a yellow toy keyboard. I obviously didn’t know what I was doing at the time, but it’s been in me since I was a baby.
Built By Community
Keer credits Memphis’s creative scene as much as the music itself for the growth.
The local community has been huge. One of the things that took me the greatest by surprise was just the vibrancy of the creative community as a whole, even outside of musicians. I think one of the most rewarding parts about all of this has been we all grow together. If I do well, then I’m uplifting everyone else around me too, and that just feels amazing.
An Underdog City, Rising
Keer sees the tour as proof of something bigger happening in Memphis right now.
Memphis has been an underdog for so long, and I wanna be a part of the group that helps us rise to the top. I think it’s happening right in front of our eyes.
Keer’s latest single “GROWN” is available everywhere you stream, and an EP is coming later this year, with the tour just the start.
I gotta go practice for the tour, but stay tuned. I’m gonna be repping Memphis strong.
