MEM adds nonstop flight to Boston

Memphis International Airport has just landed another flight it’s been chasing for years.

The airport announced this morning, Dec. 16, that American Airlines will launch nonstop service between Boston and Memphis in June.

“Boston service is something that MEM has pursued for years, so this is a tremendous development for MEM and our passengers,” said Pace Cooper, chair of the Memphis-Shelby County Board of Commissioners. “We know that passengers will welcome this addition to the market and are grateful to American Airlines for their continued expansion.”

The flight, between MEM and Boston Logan International Airport, brings American’s number of destinations from Memphis to nine cities.
