There is a version of buying flowers that is purely transactional. You need a bouquet, you get a bouquet, the day moves on. And then there is the version Memphis has quietly built, where the flowers come off a plot nine blocks from where you are standing, or you cut them yourself in a field at golden hour, or you spend an evening with a glass of wine learning how a florist thinks about negative space.

The MANE WILDLINg
Memphis, TN
Mane Wildling handles the kind of event design where every detail is considered, not just the big ones. Dinner parties, weddings, corporate events, interior styling, custom floral installations, the studio moves across all of it with the same sprinkle of whimsy and a dash of ease. It is the kind of place where a handwritten place card and a sculptural floral centerpiece carry equal weight.
Midtown Bramble & Broom
2294 Young Ave, Cooper-Young
Bramble is a working urban flower farm spread across nine backyard plots, paired with a retail shop and makery in Cooper-Young. The growing is regenerative, a portion of proceeds goes back into local causes, and there is a flower cafe running weekly. It is the rare place where you can trace a stem back to the block it grew on.
Shop hours run Wednesday through Friday from 11am to 6pm, and weekends from 11am to 4pm. Closed Monday and Tuesday. Workshops are ticketed and range from $50 to $240.

Old Brownsville Farms
6034 Old Brownsville Rd, Bartlett
A family-owned cut-your-own flower field with timed sessions, which is a smarter setup than it sounds. You book a block, you walk the rows, you pay by the stem or by the cup. Admission is $5 a person and advance purchase is recommended, especially for the evening sessions.
They also build real events around the field. Bluegrass and BBQ lands September 26 from 5pm to 9pm, with tickets going on sale in July.
Memphis Botanic Garden
750 Cherry Rd
The 96 acres are the obvious draw, but the thing worth putting on your calendar is Flower Happy Hour, a recurring series that pairs a local florist with a hands-on arranging class. Tickets are $45 for members and $55 otherwise, and registration is in advance.
Two dates are on the books: August 20 with Everbloom, and September 10 with Le Fleur, both 6pm to 8pm. Garden hours are 9am to 6pm daily through the summer.
Mili’s Flowers and Gifts
1350 Concourse Ave, Suite 125, Crosstown Concourse
Mili’s started as a flower truck and grew into a Latina-owned storefront inside Crosstown, with a build-your-own bouquet bar and a wall of handmade Mexican gifts alongside the stems. It is a walk-in shop, which matters when the occasion sneaks up on you.
Open Monday through Friday from 10am to 5pm and Saturday from 11am to 6pm. Closed Sunday. Delivery has a $75 minimum.
Flowers Local Memphis
East Memphis, by appointment
A retiree-run organic micro farm with no storefront and a genuinely good habit: ten percent of bouquet profits go toward hospice and senior deliveries. You will find the flowers seasonally at Cordelia’s Market in Harbor Town, or you can book directly for DIY wedding buckets.
The Flower Farm
Arlington area, by appointment
A small family farm doing DIY buckets, seasonal u-pick evenings, wholesale, and deliveries. There are no fixed hours and no public storefront, so the move is to message them directly for what is currently cut.
Dixon Gallery and Gardens
4339 Park Ave
Not a florist and not a farm, but if the goal is simply to be around flowers, the Dixon’s formal gardens are free and open to walk. Tuesday through Friday 10am to 5pm, third Thursdays until 8pm, Saturday 10am to 5pm, Sunday 1pm to 5pm. Closed Monday.
