Memphis has spent decades building a name as a medical device city, and the next generation of that story just got a boost. Memphis startup ConvertaTek is one of only five companies nationwide chosen for Epicenter’s ZeroTo510 accelerator, earning a $25,000 investment to move its new shoulder implant system closer to market.
ZeroTo510 is a 13-week program run right here in Memphis for early-stage medical device companies, with training in regulatory strategy, reimbursement, supply chain and fundraising. ConvertaTek is the only Memphis company in a cohort that also includes startups from Nashville, Houston, Pennsylvania, and South Carolina.
Past ZeroTo510 companies have gone on to raise more than $104 million. Every homegrown startup that makes it through keeps talent, jobs, and investment in the city.
