Memphis ranks high for income among female entrepreneurs

A new analysis places Memphis among the top metropolitan areas in terms of the earning power of female entrepreneurs.

Using 2018 U.S. Census data, e-commerce platform Volusion ranked the Memphis metro No. 4 for highest-earning female entrepreneurs among women in metros with more than a million people.

The study found that full-time female entrepreneurs in the area had a median annual income of $50,000, compared to $40,000 for full-time female workers.
