RiverBeat Music Festival returns to Downtown Memphis May 1–3 for its third year — and while the lineup is stacked with global icons, one thing remains true: Memphis is always the biggest star.

Produced by Mempho Presents, the festival takes over Tom Lee Park with a 2026 lineup led by Dave Matthews Band, Wu-Tang Clan, and The Red Clay Strays.

RiverBeat — which stepped into the spring festival tradition in 2024 — continues building a new era of live music along the Mississippi River while staying deeply rooted in the city’s cultural legacy.

A Celebration of Hip-Hop’s Legacy

The 2026 lineup is a love letter to hip-hop fans.

From Wu-Tang Clan’s highly anticipated return to Memphis to legendary performances by Ice Cube, Salt-N-Pepa, and De La Soul — who haven’t performed locally in nearly two decades — RiverBeat is bringing generations of rap and hip-hop excellence to one stage.

And it wouldn’t be Memphis without honoring homegrown pioneers.

The Memphis Rap OGz set returns, hosted by Al Kapone and DJ Zirk, spotlighting artists who helped define the city’s influential rap sound. Performers include Tela, Gangsta Blac, Frayser Boy, Kia Shine and Tom Skeemask, with DJ Bizzle Bluebland (WYXR) and DJ Superman (Hot 107.1) on the turntables.

Memphis Sound, Front and Center

Beyond national headliners, RiverBeat continues to amplify the Mid-South’s creative heartbeat.

Grammy-winning producer Lawrence Boo Mitchell of Royal Studios will lead a special performance featuring the legendary Hi Rhythm Section — musicians whose sound helped shape generations of soul music.

Local artists across genres will also take the stage, including Hope Clayburn’s Soul Scrimmage, Dead Soldiers, Optic Sink and Turnstyles — reinforcing that Memphis talent is never an opening act. It’s the foundation.

Mitchell said it best during the lineup announcement:

“There’s so much Memphis in RiverBeat. That’s probably my favorite thing about this festival. It’s like Memphis is always the biggest star.”

From Stax samples woven into Wu-Tang’s catalog to Salt-N-Pepa’s connection to the city’s soul legacy, the influence runs deep. Memphis doesn’t just host the culture, it shapes it.

Elevating the Festival Experience

As RiverBeat enters year three at Tom Lee Park, organizers are enhancing the experience with new features, including:

  • A dedicated DJ pavilion with dance and EDM-driven performances
  • Immersive lighting and digital displays across all three stages
  • Curated lounge areas
  • The return of fan favorites like the Ferris wheel, diverse food vendors and nightly fireworks

A new GA+ ticket tier will also debut this year, offering elevated amenities for General Admission attendees.

Three-day passes start at $249 for GA, $379 for GA+, and $849 for VIP. Single-day passes begin at $99.
