Downtown Memphis Hyatt Centric named one of 2021’s best new hotels in US

The Hyatt Centric in Downtown Memphis, part of the One Beale development, was named one of the best new hotels of 2021 in a USA TODAY poll. The hotel placed seventh on a list of hotels from across the country.

The hotel opened in April. The top 10 list also included hotels in New York City, Chicago, Miami and Las Vegas, including a Hilton-brand hotel and a new Four Seasons location.

A panel of experts partnered with 10Best editors to pick a slate of nominees, and the top 10 winners were determined by popular vote by USA TODAY readers.

The Mississippi River is about to become a whole lot healthier thanks to a $16 million federal grant awarded to restore wetlands at Ducks Unlimited Park at Big River Crossing.⁠
