Christian Brothers University has landed a $6.2 million gift from longtime supporters Bob and Paula McEniry, a commitment that will rename the university’s School of Business as the McEniry School of Business, Education and Humanities. The McEnirys, CBU Trustees Emeritus, received the university’s Top Philanthropy Honors in 2025.
The gift will strengthen CBU’s MBA and accounting programs and deepen ties between the school and Memphis employers, giving students more hands on opportunities to build career ready skills. “This gift is an investment in our students, in CBU, and in the future of Memphis,” said Ronald L. Brandon, president of CBU.
Bob McEniry, former chairman of nexAir, said the investment reflects a belief in what CBU means for the city. “It gives talented students the opportunity to earn an outstanding education here, build their careers here, and become leaders in the companies and organizations that move our community forward,” McEniry said.
