About This Event

Speaker Girl, Joybomb, and Sunweight are coming together to showcase what the Memphis Alternative scene is sounding like these days. It’ll be an electric night filled with sounds of eclectic saxophone, fiery pop-punk, and hyperkinetic indie-rock that you wouldn’t want to miss out on.

This is a big stop among the many shows of Speaker Girl Tour promoting their debut record ‘Speaker Girl EP.’ You may hear their songs being spun at Crosstown’s very own WYXR and around other stations in the city.

Speaker Girl

Speaker Girl is an alternative band from Memphis, Tennessee. Ranging from softer, melodic indie rock to grunge/punk, they have been described as “hyperkinetic” and “post-grunge ghosts.”

This show will be a stop on Speaker Girl Tour promoting their debut record ‘Speaker Girl EP’.

Joybomb

Joybomb is a fiery alt-rock band from Memphis, TN, blending indie, pop-punk, and post-hardcore into a sound that’s explosive and anthemic. With electrifying live shows and razor-sharp hooks, they tackle everything from consumer culture and political theatre to tragic romance.

Sunweight

Sunweight is a rock/jazz group from Memphis, TN. Filled with psychedelic guitar and synth, eclectic saxophone, and tight rhythm incorporating a unique Memphis style; the music has elements for everyone to connect to.
