If you’re looking for a private space to create in an environment that takes the best from digital and analog, Young Avenue Sound is the place for you, a place to cultivate what’s in your mind and at your fingertips. We love working with bands and artists from Memphis and beyond, with no genre specificity. We love it all!

Square Footage: 2,859sf
Number of rooms: 2 live rooms, 1 control room, 2 iso booths
Features: 2 live rooms with 2 tonally different characteristics – one with high ceilings and a more reverberant room sound / the other with a lower ceiling and a less active room sound. We have a very integrated and hybrid, analog and digital setup. Currently we house some very popular and vintage gear. In our control room there is the Neve VR 36. Alongside, is an API 1604 side-car. As for our vintage microphones, we have a pair of Nuemann U67, a Nuemann U47, and a Sheops 221A. Lastly, we have some industry standard outboard gear, including Teletronix LA-2A, Urei 1176/78, DBX 160, and a Gates STA-LEVEL. Our ear candy type gear includes: Yamaha Grand Piano, Hammond Organ w/ Leslie Cabinet, Juno-60 , Fender Rhodes, and many other cool noise makers.

The Mississippi River is about to become a whole lot healthier thanks to a $16 million federal grant awarded to restore wetlands at Ducks Unlimited Park at Big River Crossing.⁠
