Over in the Broad Avenue Arts District, two planned apartment complexes will bring 350 units to the area.

The new building will replace the vacant WWII-era industrial warehouse on 8.5 acres at the northwest corner of Broad and Bingham Street that once served as a shipping center for the now-defunct railroad that ran behind it.

Vibrant Broad Avenue is known for its colorful murals and water tower, as well as its boutiques, art galleries, creative studios, and growing dining options. The development is a partnership between Grubb Properties of Charlotte, North Carolina and property owner Loeb Properties.
