Are you ready to go Deepr with MEM and ATL? Go behind the scenes at iconic recording studios in Memphis and Atlanta and experience the sounds and flavors that have defined these two cities in a one-night-only event hosted by legendary hip-hop DJ Devin Steel in Memphis and acclaimed hip-hop producer Drumma Boy in Atlanta.
Drumma Boy helped to craft the sound of Trap music. The Memphis-raise, Atlanta-based producer has created sounds for artists such as Rick Ross, Migos, 2 Chainz, and Waka Flocka to name a few. However, he’s using his art to speak to the uprisings that have occurred across the nation following the death of George Floyd.
Recording artist Jessica Ray hosts a virtual show experience. The show is titled R.A.W., and it stands for Real Artists Working. The show will feature her music. Ray collaborated with artists in several fields to pull off the pre-recorded production, from dancers to photographers.
In the Netflix series Trinkets, as one character confronts two others and then walks out of the scene in disgust, the track’s beats kick in, full of portent and tension, until the final credits and the song’s chorus roll out together. It feels as if the music was designed for the scene.
After sharing a series of singles that has included “No Chorus, Pt. 12” and “Do What I Do,” BlocBoy JB has unleashed his debut studio album.
