After earning a Billboard-charting hit with âF.N.F.â and inking a deal with Yo Gottiâs CMG label â Memphis rapper Gloria âGloRillaâ Woods continues to earn accolades.
The latest: Being named âBreakthrough Hip Hop Artistâ at the 2022 BET Hip Hop Awards.
Although it aired on television Tuesday, Oct. 4, the ceremony was taped Friday, Sept. 30, at Atlantaâs Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre.
Woods attended the ceremony. Shedding tears, she thanked God, her mother and Yo Gotti during her acceptance speech.
In the category, Woods beat out nominees that included rappers Baby Keem, Blxst, Fivio Foreign and Nardo Wick.
Her âF.N.F.â track with Memphis producer HitKidd was also nominated for âSong of the Year,â but Atlanta rapper Latto took home the award for her single âBig Energy.â
Woods also performed âF.N.F.â and her newest single âTomorrow 2â during the show.
Earlier this week, âTomorrow 2,â which features Cardi B., made it to No. 9 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
