Paul Taylor: Old Forest Trail 10 Year Anniversary Concert
About This Event
Paul Taylor is a fixture in the Memphis music scene, known for his versatile artistry and collaborations with countless musicians. A highly skilled multi-instrumentalist, Paul has worked as a drummer, bassist, and guitarist with artists such as Ann Peebles, Reba Russell, The PRVLG, Hope Clayburn, Mighty Souls Brass Band, Eric Gales, Shawn Lane, Amy LaVere, Jim Dickinson, MEM_MODS, Sons of Mudboy, Loveland/Duren, Chuck Prophet, Robert Ellis, and many more. In addition to his work as a sideman, Paul has released three solo records under his own name and three more under his pseudonym, New Memphis Colorways.
He returns to the Crosstown Arts Green Room for a special 10-year anniversary performance of music from his critically acclaimed EP, The Old Forest Trail. The EP serves as both an homage to the Old Forest Arboretum in Overton Park and a tribute to his father, Pat Taylor, who passed away in 2015. The concert will also include new music he has written since 2020, when he embarked on a new chapter in Door County, Wisconsin, a move that has inspired fresh creative work.
