Acid Mothers Temple (AMT) is a Japanese psychedelic rock band that formed in 1995 and is led by guitarist Makoto Kawabata. The band’s music is often improvised, free-form, or experimental, and incorporates elements of American psych rock, drone, and world music. AMT has released albums on a number of international record labels, as well as the Acid Mothers Temple family record label, which was established in 1998.
