In the heart of Memphis, TN, four musicians found themselves united by a shared love for the iconic music of Rush. Thus, 1221 was born, a band dedicated to faithfully recreating the powerful performances and intricate sounds of progressive rock’s most influential band.

Billy Holland, a drummer and percussionist with over twenty years of experience, anchors the band with his precision and energy. On guitar, Greg Hooper brings over three decades of skill and passion, captivating audiences with his masterful playing. Greg’s connection to the band runs deep, as he and Justin Jaggers have been friends since high school, sharing a bond forged through countless jam sessions and performances. Chris Pietrangelo, with a vocal range that mirrors Geddy Lee’s iconic singing, has toured extensively throughout the southwest with his band Fingertrick and a Led Zeppelin tribute band. His dynamic presence and powerful voice add an authentic touch to 1221’s performances. Justin Jaggers, handling bass and keyboards, has been playing for twenty years and studied music and recording technology at the University of Memphis. His musical journey has seen him grace stages all over Memphis, bringing his expertise and passion to every performance.
