Methodist University Hospital has completed a $275 million campus makeover, one of the largest transformation projects in the history of the Memphis Medical District.

It includes the new 44,000-square-foot Shorb tower at Eastmoreland and Bellevue, built by Turner Construction, to consolidate oncology, transplant and outpatient services in a centralized area to increase efficiency for medical staff and improve the healthcare experience for patients and visitors.

The project also includes the creation of one comprehensive cancer care center that combines the West Cancer Center on Union Avenue with hospital-based inpatient and surgical services. Methodist’s world-renowned transplant services will be combined into an inpatient-outpatient comprehensive transplant institute with upgraded technology.
