Let the beer pour: Soul & Spirits finalizes brewery and taproom debut

The Soul & Spirits Brewery held its ground-breaking in the fall of 2019.

And then the pandemic happened.

According to Soul & Spirits founder Blair Perry — who owns the brewery with her husband, Ryan Allen — construction ground to a halt. First, the business, which wasn’t open yet, was deemed nonessential in COVID work protocols. Then, supplies — from brewing equipment to aluminum cans — grew scarce.

“It’s been an uphill climb,” Perry said. “We can see the light at the end of the tunnel.”

That light will be reached shortly: Soul & Spirts makes its debut on Saturday, Oct. 9, at the Cooper-Young Beerfest.
