Calkins: A 29-year-old woman is about to rocket Memphis and St. Jude into space

Colleen Arceneaux was making pancakes with her 10-year-old daughter, Hayley, when she remembered that Hayley had been limping a bit.  

“Hey, let me take a look at your knee,” she said.

Moments later, she gasped.

There was a lump. It didn’t feel like just any old lump.

And that is how this story began.
