Amazon confirms two new Memphis-area facilities

Amazon confirmed Thursday, April 22, that it is building two new operations, a previously reported delivery station in Frayser/Raleigh and a fulfillment center in Byhalia, Mississippi.

The facilities will create “hundreds of new full-time jobs, paying a starting wage of $15 per hour and offering a variety of benefits,” the e-commerce giant’s press release states.

Workers at the Byhalia fulfillment center will pick, pack and ship larger consumer items such as mattresses, kayaks, grills, and exercise equipment.
