Eleanor Tallie

Eleanor Tallie has come a long way over the years. While she now calls Memphis home she is originally from Israel where she grew up. However, her love for American music and the wide range of style brought her over to the United States, where she eventually moved in 2013. Since that time she has grown in her musical style as well as performed throughout the United States. If you’re looking for one of the fastest up and coming musicians in the region, few can top what Eleanor Tallie has to offer.

The early years

Eleanor Tallie learned multiple instruments while growing up in Israel. She then first started to write her own music and lyrics when she was 12. During this time she had been trained as a classical musician. By the time she finished her schooling in Israel she went on to travel throughout the country, performing her own songs, both as a solo artist and with a back up band.

By 2011 she had joined a traveling blues band that toured the Netherlands. With the budding love for blues she eventually went on to move to Memphis. However, she did not remain grounded for long, as over the following 18 months she played 180 shows in 30 different states.

Creating her own music

By 2015 she had stopped the multi-state tour and had settled in to begin working more extensively on her own music. In 2015 she worked with Lawrence “Boo” Mitchell, who had won a Grammy Award the year before. Her debut EP came out the next year titled “No Turning Back.” She has since started to work on additional music, working with a number of important musicians from around the industry. Drummer George “Spanky” McCurdy, who has worked with acts including Justin Timberlake and Lady Gaga plus Jack Delay, a bass player who has played with Michael Jackson, Lenny Kravitz and Beyonce are musicians who are joining her on her current work, which is expected to come out either in the end of 2019 or the beginning of 2020.
