5 Iconic Rooftops in Memphis for Unbeatable Views and Vibes

Share

Looking for a new perspective on the 901? Nothing beats our city skyline and rooftop bars, each with something different to offer. Whether you’re looking to kick back and relax or end the night on a high note, these rooftop spots are sure to give you a taste of Memphis. We even threw in a bonus rooftop, if you’re planning a party or a smaller event.

Peabody Hotel

The Peabody is known for its ducks, of course, but locals are also spending their summers at this historic hotel’s rooftop parties. Thursday evenings from April through August, this hotspot is host to live bands with sunset views of the Mighty Mississippi and delectable drinks to keep the party going.

Hu. Hotel

For views across the water into Arkansas, the Hu. Hotel’s rooftop is right beside the famous arched Hernando DeSoto Bridge. Watch the bride’s light show each night play across the water of the Mississippi while you hang out with friends, sip some cocktails, and make memories.

Tiger and Peacock

If you’re looking for a view in a different spot in the city, Tiger and Peacock atop the Memphian Hotel on Overton Square might be for you. This bar describes its menu as “cosmic cocktails and tapas” with sophistication and whimsy at the forefront. Head to the seventh floor for astrology-inspired cocktails, tasty snacks, and both indoor and outdoor seating with a glimpse into this trendy part of town.

Terrace at The River Inn

Located in Harbortown, the River Inn’s Terrace offers a more laid-back vibe, perfect for sipping on your favorite drinks and unwinding after a long day. Join them for happy hour or champagne Thursdays with classic bites like a shareable charcuterie board, truffle oil fries, chicken wings, and more. (They even have after-dinner ice cream cocktails, including a Mud Island Float.)

Beck & Call

Down on our most famous street, the Hyatt Centric on Beale has a rooftop bar called Beck & Call, offering panoramic views of downtown. This eclectic space gives you a peek into our local artsy side with colorful murals decorating the bar, and from this rooftop bar, you can see some of our most famous landmarks like the Pyramid, Orpheum Theater, and Mud Island.

Bonus: Old Dominick

This downtown distillery opens its rooftop for special events and parties, making it the perfect venue for an unforgettable night. And with Old Dominick whiskeys and spirits on the menu, your guests will enjoy a bit of local flavor and flair.
