For starters, you’re giving them a new lease on life and opening up your home to a shelter animal who desperately needs the love. And though they say you can’t teach an old dog new tricks, that’s not true! Senior pets are trainable, and you’re able to skip some of the training that comes with a new puppy or kitten like potty training, basic commands, and not tearing up your shoes while you’re away.
