First Horizon introduces Diversity Grant for homebuyers in minority census tracts

As it gears up to complete its deal with Toronto-based TD Bank Group, First Horizon is introducing a new grant for potential homebuyers.

The Memphis-based institution has announced the Diversity Grant, part of its mortgage down payment assistance grant program. The goal is to provide down payment assistance for borrowers buying a residence in a majority-minority census tract, within First Horizon’s combined assessment areas. Recipients are eligible for subsidy amounts of up to $4,000 — or $8,000 if the residence is in a major-focus market.
