The Peabody is a mainstay building in the heart of downtown Memphis. While a number of businesses call the building home, at night during the summer it transforms into the life of the party. With an expansive rooftop bar and events taking place from April through August, there’s always something to do at the Peabody. And with one of the best views in the entire city, it’s one of the top fun things to do in Memphis.
A top Memphis destination
There’s nothing better than an incredible view and an amazing party. That is exactly what guests receive when they step foot onto the rooftop of The Peabody during the summer. From April through August, The Peabody is home to some of the best nightlife in the entire city. So whether guests want to come out for a drink and take in the sunset or they want to dance the night away, something is always happening at The Peabody.
An amazing destination for locals and visitors alike
If there’s one thing both locals and visitors alike need to experience, it’s an evening on the rooftop at The Peabody. It has been repeatedly voted not only a “Top 10 Rooftop Bar,” but one of the “Best Pick-Up Joints” by the Memphis Flyer.
Nugget from Q107.5 FM and DJ Epic host Thursday night parties to help get the weekend started off right. Throughout the summer, new drinks are on offering as well as an assortment of bands and musical acts. Plus, the sunset and view of both the Mississippi River and the city can’t be beat.
Important information to keep in mind
For anyone looking to come out to The Peabody for the Thursday night party, both street parking and lot parking are available. Valet parking is also available at the hotel as well. Public transportation also stops at The Peabody.
Upcoming special events
There is always something to check out when you’re at The Peabody. While every Thursday is taken over by DJ Epic, there are other musical acts and events going on throughout the summer. One of the biggest nights of the year is on the 4th of July. This is the busiest party of the summer, so those who are looking to take in the night’s firework show with the best view in town should arrive early.
Other acts that will be stopping by The Peabody include the Bluff City Bandits, G3, Hillbilly Casino, the M-80s, Walrus and Ghost Town Blues Band. Additional guest information, dates and times (most start at 6 p.m.) are available directly through the Peabody Rooftop Party Facebook page. Check back often for updates on the latest events taking place on the roof.
