About This Event

Greetings Gang! I don't play out much anymore so this will be a very special performance. I am creating this event page so that I can invite all of my favorite friends!!
We will be exploring the 1980's post-Stax era of Memphis, Mississippi, Arkansas and beyond all sourced from original vinyl.
We will deep dive into the Funk & Boogie lexicon of this great city and it's rich musical history. Much of the material showcased will be from the same musicians that created the legendary Stax/Hi sound and their overlooked contributions to the 'synth era' of Soul & Funk in the 1980's! Please do save the date, tell our friends and bring your honey to the best bar in town!~
