Songs of the Summer: New music we love

Are you in search of your song of the summer? We can help. Here’s a round-up of some of our favorite new releases from Memphis artists, good for cranking up by the pool or blissing out to while you crank up the AC.

Nick Black – Priceless

This song is bananas, B-A-N-A-N-A-S. Seriously though, Nick Black’s latest is an ode to a woman’s worth (hint: it’s in the title) that’s a banger we can’t get enough of.

Don Lifted – Golden (The Wait)

Don Lifted has blessed us with another track, featuring a WAMM fave Madam Fraankie.

Southern Avenue – Push Now

Not only does this track have the energy to qualify as a true Song of the Summer, it’s got an adorable video to match – cameo roles by kiddos from the Southern Avenue family AND cake throwing! It’s got it all. (Plus, it’s the first single from their NEW ALBUM! Get excited, y’all.)

Ryan Peel – Black Diamond

Ryan Peel has been working his magic with all sorts of artists lately, from Riko the Akronym to Chinese Connection Dub Embassy – but we were psyched when he dropped a new EP, Black Diamond, at the end of May.

Raneem Imam – Flame

Raneem dropped her new EP Peace of Mind just a few weeks ago and already “Flame” is one of our faves.
